Municipal Council of Mbouda carry out an awareness rising and sensitization campaign

As a community based organization and implementing partner of the project on strengthening the intergration and financial capacities of internally displaced young men and women in the municipal councils of the West and Litoral regions.
MOHCAM and her partners,the United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM) , UNESCO, PBF and Municipal Council of Mbouda carry out an awareness rising and sensitization campaign on the availability of community and financial services in the municipality.Over 120 internally displaced young men and women were touched to enhance social cohesion and promote peaceful communities.

They had deep conversations on gender-based violence, human rights, hate speech, skill and wealth creation. This is to amplify and factor the concerns and plights of internally displaced persons in policy and to increase the advocacy on the protection and inclusion of internally displaced persons in the municipality of Mbouda.

This Project was focused on reinforcing the economic capacity of internally displaced persons who have been affected by the ongoing crisis in the North west and South West regions of Cameroon, so that they can have some basic ideas on financial structures and petite businesses that exist. There is also the need to create self employment and also help IDPs to contributions to the economic development of the host communities.

MOHCAM carryout some distribution of some basic commodities to the IDPs for end-of-year festivities.
